Do you need to get your message through to your target market in France without losing the unique essence of your brand in the process?
Perfect! That’s what I do!
Your business is all about tourism, hospitality, or environment and sustainability? You’ve come to the right place. We probably have a lot in common and your content will be in good hands. Websites, blogs, brochures or flyers, I can translate and localise your material to be appealing to a brand new range of potential customers.
I studied foreign languages (English and Spanish) at university and completed the French equivalent to a BA, but anyone working in the language industry will tell you this is not how you really learn a foreign language. Cultural immersion is by far the most effective way to learn a language, because as a translator I don’t only translate words, but also ideas, cultural concepts, a sense of humour, and so much more! I worked during a number of years for an American IT company, in a European support group, as part of a 100% British team. And when all day long, you speak, write, work in English, give a training in English, joke in English, have lunch in English, you end up dreaming in English! That’s when I thought I was really bilingual.
However, I’ve got some breaking news for you: it is not so much a good command of the source language as a high proficiency in the target language which makes the ideal translation, a translation that flows naturally and reaches its target audience with the right tone, and where the readers don’t even guess they are reading a translated content.
This is what I am aiming to: a translation that doesn’t read like a translation but like an original content, written in French from the start. French isn’t easy, its grammar, spelling and syntaxic rules are full of exceptions and rather treacherous. That’s why you need a native speaker to write your content in French and not any native speaker but someone who has a sound knowledge of the language, to provide a spotless result, free of any spelling mistake that can be so harmful for your business.
